Identifying and Eliminating Common Errors

AIM

This masterclass workshop targets some typical errors German speakers tend to make when speaking English. If not addressed at an early stage, some errors may become fossilised and manifest themselves even in the speech or the writing of competent and proficient non-native speakers.

The workshop seeks to raise the participants’ awareness of such errors and offer either quick fixes, where applicable, or more comprehensive strategies to overcome common problems and enhance the participants’ overall competence.

TARGET GROUP

Any participant with a high level of competence in English.

DURATION AND STRUCTURE

2 sessions of 90 minutes each.

The idea of the workshop is based not so much on a lecture but rather on an active discussion centred around a list of errors and examples which will be handed out at the beginning.
